Admissions

When do I apply for a school place?

You must apply for a primary school place one year before your child can start school. You will need to apply when your child is three or has just turned four.

If you would like to request for your child to be educated outside of their chronological age group, this should be discussed with the Headteacher after an offer has been made.

Applications for places at our school are administered by the Wokingham Borough Council and close on 15 January every year.

How to apply

For a place at our school, you will need to apply through Wokingham Council online portal where you’ll need to register first. You may need to supply proof of your address to prove that you’ll live in the area before the start of the next school term.

Following a public consultation (report below), from the 2025-2026 academic year we will adopt our own admission policy, governed by the Bellevue Place Education Trust, which we are part of.

Admission Policy

We are a two-form entry school and therefore we admit up to 60 children into Reception year. When full, we have 420 pupils on roll. Where there are fewer applicants than places available, all applicants will be admitted.

Appeals

Parents who are not offered a place for their child have the right to appeal to an independent appeal panel. Parents wishing to appeal, should read the guide on how to appeal on the Wokingham Council’s website.

The appeal claim should be sent to: Clerk to the Appeals Panel, Wokingham Borough Council, Shute End, Wokingham, Berkshire, RG40 1WH, within 20 school days of the date of the letter confirming the decision not to offer a place.
