SEND Report and Documents

Rivermead Plus+

We welcome pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) as part of our community, and we aim to ensure that all pupils have equal opportunities and access to engage in a broad and balanced curriculum.

We have a whole school policy to support children with special educational needs, both with and without Education, Health and Care plans.

The term ‘special educational needs’ also refers to children with additional learning needs.

SEND Specialists

The SEND team consists of Laura Terry and Lisa Tomlin, who are our SENDCOs.

Children at all stages of the SEND register have Individual Education Plans (IEPs). We discuss and review these with children and parents as the year progresses. Where necessary the school works with outside agencies to meet the needs of children, for example with Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language therapists and medical services.

The Inclusion Leader and SENDCOs are happy to meet parents by appointment to discuss the individual needs of their children. Please contact main school reception or email SEN@rivermead.wokingham.sch.uk

View our SEND Policy on our Policies page.
